Flash and Animated Gifs

I was wondering why is it that Flash files are not accepted as uploadable files or even as embeded files... I mean it is not even possible to embed here a Flash file uploaded somewhere else.

Also, I uploaded a slideshow as animated gif, but in my User Gallery it doesn't seem to move at all. Only the first image shows up.

The animated GIFs are disabled because of the watermark. Flash attachments are disabled since I haven't tested how well the thumbnail code performs on them.

Have you looked at maybe creating a movie out of your slideshow? It should attach quite nicely and also give you an automatic thumbnail.

I think I'll do that. It's a different approach, but one I'm familiar with so, no problem.
